Third Time's A Charm?
posted by Missy
This will be my third trip to Japan with Sonos, but my first without hubby Jukka, who has damped all of his bass bells in favor of a PhD program studying concrete. Hard as a rock, dumb as a brick. (The concrete, that is!) I'm looking forward to the food, the super-efficient and beautiful hotels, the incredible concert halls, and the thing that makes touring in Japan every bellringer's dream—the roadies! What a luxury not to have to lug our equipment back and forth all the time, but just show up, skirt the tables, and set up the bells! I also can't wait to see Taiko (and her boys) again! But I'm definitely going to miss my favorite roommate...

PS to first-timers: When they tell you to leave your suitcase outside the door the night before leaving a hotel, don't get so excited you pack your shoes, eh, Michele? ;-)
