Happy Birthday, Ben-san!

Today was Ben's birthday. He's 26 years old, and one of our newest Sonosians.
He's actually a "second generatation" Sonosian because he learned to ring bells in Founding Member Kathie Fink's handbell choir at the private school he attended for Junior High. Cool, eh?
Our 2nd encore tonight was Betty Garee's gorgeous arrangement of "Silent Night". Before we played it, Jim turned to the audience and announced (in Japanese) that it was Ben's birthday & invited the audience -- all 2000 of them -- to sing "Happy Birthday" to Ben, which they did.
Ben said it was completely unexpected - and totally awesome! - to have the entire concert hall full of people sing to him!
